How Do Your Brain Waves Work?

Naturally our brains produce electrical charges that “sweep" across our brains. These charges create rhythms known as brainwave patterns. They can be seen with an electroencephalograph (EEG). EEG’s record and measure large amounts of neurons in your brain firing in unison.

Beta waves -

Are fast waves of 14 to 40 times per second (Hz). Beta brainwave patterns are generated naturally when we are awake and alert. Beta-wave-sample
Alpha waves - Are lower frequency, between 8 and 13 Hz. Alpha waves most often occur during rest (e.g. when the eyes are closed), intellectual relaxation, deep relaxation (e.g. focused breathing exercises), meditation or when we actively quieten the mind. Alpha waves are generally the desired state of experienced meditation practicioners. alpha-brainwave-sample
Delta waves - The slowest waves ranging from 0.5 to 3.5 Hz. This pattern most usually occurs when we sleep. As we start to fall asleep the dominant natural brainwave state shifts to delta. delta-wave-sample
Theta waves -

Occur between 4 and 7 Hz. This is commonly referred to as the "dream" or “twilight” state. Theta waves are associated with learning, memory (recall of memories), REM or deep sleep and dreaming. Memory retention is enhanced while in this state.

Did you know that you can influence your brainwaves with audio and visual inputs. This is where Mind Movies come in. They give you the tools to influence how your brain works.

One of the bonuses included with the Mind Movies Creation Kit are two unique RichMoment: Practical Mind Tools™ which takes this concept to a new level using harmonic resonance and brainwave entrainment.

Did you know?

Studies show that in a theta brainwave state, memory retention and recall is improved (particularly long term memory), and access to unconscious material, lucid dreaming (like surfing through your memories), free association, insights and creative visualisation become more readily attainable.
